Our Trip to Lagoon

We went to Lagoon a couple of weekends ago and I am just now getting around to blogging about it. My girls were so excited to go. We load up in the car at eight o'clock in the morning and set off for Utah. We got there right when the park opened. It was so cute the girls kept saying to each other "look at that ride it looks so fun." Briley was shrieking in the back of the car the whole time we were waiting in line to park, she was so excited. Once we got in we figured out that Tabrie was tall enough to go on every ride. Briley on the other had was not so lucky, she was about 4" too short for any of the big rides. Both of the girls were little dare devils, they really wanted to get on all of the wild and crazy rides (but Briley couldn't really ride any of them so we didn't let Tabrie go on them either).

We had lots and lots of fun. My girls have been asking ever since we left, "when do we get to go back to Lagoon?" It is an annual party at my work so I was able to tell them that we would be able to go back next year. I had so much fun spending time with my family. It was so fun to see the smile on my girls faces and watch them having so much fun. I am so blessed to have such great kids and a great husband that I just love spending time with.

Tags

I was tagged by Brenda but, I am not too sure about this one! I don't know if I want everyone to know all of this weird stuff about me! Here it goes.

6 unspectacular quirks about me:

One:
I don't really like to have large groups of people come over to my house. I know it is weird but for some strange reason I don't like to entertain people. I love to get together with friends and family but I just don't like it to be at my house. (I know it is rude to not take your turn so I really need to get over it.)

Two: I always talk to myself. I have full on conversations with myself and lots of times I even answer my own questions. I got it from my mom, when I was little I remember she used to open the mail and she would say "what is this ?" then in the next breath she would answer herself. I hope that this doesn't make me crazy!!

Three: I am terrified to sleep at home alone! I am 26 years old and when my husband goes out of town 99% of the time I pack us up (the girls and I) and we go and sleep over and my mom's house. I wish that I wasn't scared but if I stay home I don't sleep at all. I was hoping that I would out grow this but I haven't yet.

Four: I can't make a decision without consulting someone. It drives Rex crazy, I always say I like something but I won't buy it until I call Janeal have her come and look at it. Rex says "you don't have to ask your sisters opinion on everything." I just don't trust my own judgement and I think that she has good taste.

Five: I can't stand it when my house gets messy. I freak out! If my house isn't clean I am not a very nice person. I have had so many people tell me that there are more important things in life then a clean house, and I agree but it isn't in my personality to let my house go. I need to spend more time with my kids but I can't relax until my house is clean.

Six: I don't have a creative bone in my body! I don't know how I got this way because my Mom and sister both enjoy doing crafts and scrap booking. I do not at all. If I make something I always think it looks ugly and I won't display it anyways. I have no desire to do anything that involves crafts or scrap booking. I also don't know how to decorate, so all of the walls in my house are bare. I would love to pay someone to come in and decorate my house for me, but I am too cheap for that.

Wow, I am glad that is over. Now that you all know so many of my bad qualities. I now tag Holly, Stacey, Alison, and Amberlee. Enjoy doing this one ladies! :)

{Mommy Tag}

13. Where do you want to take your kids someday? To Florida
14. When was the last time Rex and I went out - without kids? I honestly can't remember, probably on Rex's birthday.

16. Favorite past time with my kids? Playing games or going on bike rides

18. Advice for new moms? Write down the firsts. (First words, when they started to crawl, and walk ect...) I didn't and I can't remember when they did things for sure. I have an idea but I don't know exactly, I really wish I would have written it down.
19. What's a scary or heartbreaking moment you've had? Tabrie refused to eat as a baby, I kept telling the doctor that there was something wrong with her and he wouldn't believe me. We finally got him to believe us and we had some tests done and we did find out what was wrong with her but it was very scary.
20. When was the last time your kids said I love you? When I tucked them in tonight.

I tag Janeal, Brenda, and Alison.

FUN!!!!

This last weekend was so nice, we spent the entire weekend outside. We got the girls a swing set for Easter and we spent the majority of the day Saturday putting it up. The girls were so excited to be able play on it. Of course the weather here is so crazy, when we woke up Monday it was super windy and the weather just got worse from there. It ended up snowing on Tuesday night and was pretty cold and windy yesterday so, needless to say they haven't been able to play on it much. It was pretty nice out today so I let them go out and play. They had so much fun! They have really missed having a yard. They are so excited that we have somewhere for them to play this summer. We are hoping that the weather will get nice sometime so that we can get our sprinklers in and get some grass planted. We have someone coming to do some curbing this next week so, we are crossing our fingers that it will be nice enough to get that done. I just wish that we didn't have to worry about snow showers in April!!!!

The Best Daddy

Today was pretty nice (for how our spring has been) so as soon as Rex got home the girls met him at the door and asked if they could ride their dirt bike. Rex was so excited to let them ride. We put all of their new gear on them and they were ready to ride. Rex had to run beside Briley the entire time she was riding in case she lost control or couldn't stop. He was tired before she was of course.

He then had to take the training wheels off for Tabrie to ride. He got out the little 4-wheeler so he and Briley could ride beside Tabrie. They had so much fun. The girls came in a were so excited about getting to ride. Tabrie said "we have the best Daddy". I was just thinking that thought as she said it, he is the best Daddy, he does so much for us and never complains.

I love that Rex is always wanting to play with our kids even though I am sure he is tired when he comes from work. (he as to be to work pretty early) He spent the entire last weekend building a bed for Briley's preschool teacher, as payment for school, he never complained or even said anything about having to do it. He is such a great Dad and we all love him very much. (I am sure that we all feel that we have the best husbands and daddy's though) :)

Finally A Sunny Day

My girls were so happy that it was a sunny day today. They were dying to get outside and ride their bikes and play. I was happy to let them go run off some of their energy. I went out with them for awhile but I thought it was COLD so I didn't stay out long. Isn't it funny how kids won't admit that they are cold because they just want to keep playing. I am glad to see the sun, it reminds me that spring will be here someday. I just hope that the warmer weather is here to stay. (but I watch the weather so I know better) I have never had spring fever so bad! I think it might have to do with the fact that I am dying to get our yard started and to get the swing set and playhouse up for the girls. Oh, well no sense worrying about it too much I can't do anything about the weather.

My Little Gamers

I have always wondered if my kids are the only kids who love playing games. My girls ask every single day if we can play a game. We of course don't have time to play games with them every time they ask. We do try to play games with them as often as we can though. They love all games, but their favorites are Princess Uno, Princess Monopoly, and Chutes and Ladders. They are actually quite good at them too. It is so fun to watch them get excited when they win or they do something that will put them in the lead. I love games too! It is so fun spending time with my little family playing games and having fun together. I love my girls so much, I am so glad that they are a part of my life. All of the things that they do throughout the day that are naughty are all worth the "I love you" at the end of the day. I am so grateful for my daughters and hubby they are the best!

Easter Fun

Every year my Mom puts on an Easter egg hunt for her grandkids, and my girls look forward to it each year. On Saturday we went up to my sister house for the egg hunt because she has so many good hiding places. This year my Mom had put play money in some of the eggs and candy in the others. She had a little "store" where they could spend their money They loved it and came home with quite a bit of stuff. I am so glad that my Mom enjoys doing things like that for my kids because they love it and really appreciate her for doing it.

Later on Saturday afternoon my friend Amberlee brought her kids over and we colored eggs. The kids just loved coloring eggs. They would have colored them for hours if we would have let them. They all had a blast and they actually didn't make a huge mess which is good for me! :)

Sunday morning we had to just let the kids take a peek at what the Easter bunny brought so we could get to church by 9:00 am. The girls love getting dressed up in their new clothes and going to church. I tried to get some good pictures of them before we left, but we were in such a hurry that I just had to go with what I could get. (I didn't love any of the ones I got) We came home and rested for a while. Then we went to Rex's parents house for Easter dinner and a little Easter egg hunt. The kids just love going over there to spend time with their cousins. We had a great Easter. I love Easter and I am so thankful for our Savior and his atonement. We are so blessed to have the Savior in our lives. I am so grateful for all of our wonderful family and friends.

Bunny Cupcakes

The girls went to Aunt Janeal's house today while I was at work and made these cute little bunny cupcakes! Janeal said that they had a blast making the cupcakes and they also made quite a mess, but they had fun, so I guess that is what counts. They were so proud of their "masterpieces" they couldn't wait to show them off when they got home. Janeal took some pictures of them and e-mailed them to me so that I could post them. We are so blessed to have family close so that the kids can do fun things with their cousins. We are going to color eggs and have a couple of Easter egg hunts this weekend. I can't wait to take pictures so that I can post them. I love that I am always thinking about taking pictures. I used to be so bad at remembering to take them, but now I am always looking for pictures to blog so this has been very good for me. ( now maybe I will have pictures to show my kids when they are older)
